Badia, situated at 1,324 m above sea level, is a quiet spot which has kept its rustic character. Several well-preserved Ladin hamlets have made Badia a real gem of traditional Alpine rural architecture. Ladin customs and traditions are especially cherished and preserved here, and the village inhabitants love introducing tourists to these local customs. To this end, themed events are put on throughout the year, such as the “Leonhardiritt”, a traditional display of decorated horses and carriages in honour of St Leonard.
